Apartment Complex 8′ Parsons Pool Table Refelt & Re-Cushion Service

Our professional billiard table service team recently completed a full pool table refelting and bumper replacementproject for an 8-foot pool table at an apartment complex in San Jose, California.

This commercial/residential community table received a complete playing-surface upgrade featuring premium Simonis worsted-wool billiard cloth along with new K66 rubber cushions. The entire installation was performed by our in-house professional pool table installers, trained and certified in proper billiard table installation and service techniques.

The table was also carefully precision-leveled using machinist’s levels, allowing our installers to fine-tune the playing surface and achieve a properly balanced, accurate playing field.

Simonis Worsted-Wool Billiard Cloth

For this installation, the table was upgraded with Simonis premium worsted billiard cloth.

Simonis cloth is not ordinary “felt.” It is a specially woven and sheared billiard fabric designed for accuracy, consistency, durability and predictable ball movement. Simonis explains that its worsted construction uses long-fiber wool that is tightly twisted and woven, then specially sheared to create a smooth playing surface.

Simonis 860® is one of the most recognized premium worsted cloths for pool. According to Simonis, its specifications and characteristics include:

Simonis also states that proper installation is critical because the cloth is designed to be installed tightly over the slate by professionally trained table mechanics.

K66 Rubber Cushion / Bumper Replacement

Along with the new Simonis cloth, we replaced the existing pool table cushions with K66 rubber cushion profiles.

New cushions are an important part of restoring proper table performance. Worn, hardened, compressed or deteriorated rubber can cause inconsistent rebound, dead rails and unpredictable cue-ball response.
